Fishing is one of the top attractions on Robinson Crusoe. Because of the rich waters of the archipelago and the best practices observed by fishermen, recreational fishing is a sustainable and environmentally friendly activity on Robinson Crusoe.
If you want to fish here, you can use a rod, trolling or hand lines. Among the fish here are tuna and yellowtail amberjack, as well as breca, sole and rock salmon. You can also wade chest-deep in our amazing waters and fish with a spear.
The best time for fishing is from mid-summer through fall. At that time, it’s possible to catch fish weighing more than 35 kg (77 lb).
Don’t miss out on our local cuisine, which is of course based on seafood: lobster, golden crab, octopus and a range of different fish, such as yellowtail amberjack, breca and pampanito. A delight for the palate.
